From central course material to change that sticks

E.ON introduced Copperleaf to assess and prioritise investments in its plants and power grid. The central training material was classroom-based and built on train the trainer — a poor fit for the Nordic organisation. We rebuilt the programme from scratch as blended learning: workshops, e-learning and briefings, focused on the whole change journey rather than the tool alone. Manager involvement became a core part, and corporate language was replaced by a more honest, conversational tone — including short podcast episodes where colleagues spoke with and for each other.

  • Early-adopter task force tested material continuously
  • Three project team members trained as course editors
  • New structure and templates for all e-learning content

Psychological safety made concrete for a management team

Together with Magnhild Owman — 20 years in HR, talent development and people & culture in global organisations — we developed the concept and material for a half-day workshop on psychological safety for management teams. The design builds on Amy Edmondson's research and its four dimensions: attitude to risk and failure, open conversation, willingness to help, and inclusion. The method follows andragogy — how adults actually learn — with interactive exercises and group work based on the participants' own scenarios rather than generic examples. Magnhild Owman delivered the workshop to Medeon in Lund.

  • Shared understanding of what psychological safety means in practice
  • A clear picture of the team's own development areas
  • An action plan to continue with straight after the workshop
